John Grisham The Broker

This book was one of those I'm-out-and-haven't-been-to-the-library-need-something-to-read books.

Mom read it and told me it was really good so I thought I'd give it a shot.

It's about this power broker in DC who has alienated everyone he knows. He tried to sell info on a satellite system to the Saudi Arabians and that's a no no. Charged with all sorts of things he is put in prison for 14 years.

Then a new president is elected in a landslide victory. And on his way out the ex-pres pardons him on the request of the director of the CIA.

He is then shipped to Italy where he is immersed in the language and the CIA begins to leak where he is so whoever owned the system can kill him.

His son buys him a fancy cell phone and teaches him how to cover his tracks.

It's a really interesting book.

I'm currently on my third Grisham in a row. First The Broker then The Street Lawyer now The Client. I'll try to do posts on those next week some time.

Later I'll add links to Amazon and any other pages I can find right now I have to go to Accounting 103, Managerial Accounting and possibly do a presentation. I know I have a quiz to do and a test next week. Alan and I are going shopping after at Wal*Mart. I need a planner and some other things IE Percy and the Sea of Monsters.... If I can swing it without hitting the check book. I'm really not counting on it....

I haven't been able to find any good books lately. With all the people here spending the winter, the library book shelves are bare. :(
