Werewolf Rising R. L. LaFevers

This is the story of a boy who after years of being picked on by school bullies, finally shall we say takes care of the problem. Everyone pats him on the back, except his uncle. His uncle cancels the plans for his 13th birthday, tickets for him and two of his buddies to a Seatle Seahawks game.

As his birthday approaches wierd things begin happening. He smells his aunt as she comes through the door, he's been a vegetarian for year but he sudden;y craves raw hamburgers. In the days directly surrounding his birthday his temperature spikes and he becomes very ill.

His uncle refuses to take him to the doctor or "to call the one person who can help" as his aunt begs him to. Finally someone shows up at their door, the man takes him away from his aunt and uncle and reveals to him that his problems stam from the fact that he is a werewolf.

This book is one of the best teen wolf books I've read in a long time it's actually better than Blood and Chocolate.

Never been fond of wolf books. I got scared out of my wits as a youngster.

It's an easy one.

I very seldom read truly scary books. The Were books I read are mostly teen books. My mom reads them and she used to say she was scared by books like that too.

it was easy..

I don't read a lot of wolf books, but I read enough of them to know that this one is sub-par. I mean, the story's fine, and the beginning and end are ok, but theend is what gets me. Where we should have a conclusion and wrap up to the story, we have a semi-resoulution, a moment that's supposed to be the emotional start crying moment (which just made me vomit) and a whole lot of loose strings. There are definitely better wolf books out there, and I would recommend them over this one.

When I said the beginning and end I meant beginning and middle.
